About Tul Pallav Travels
We are a locally owned travel company from Tehjian Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan. Since 2015 we have designed small-group and private journeys across northern Pakistan — planned by the people who live here, and run to standards we would expect for our own families.
Sunrise over the ridge our founder grew up beneath.
Est. 2015Our story
“Every peak here holds a memory, and every valley a story that has been handed down rather than written.”
Tul Pallav Travels began because too many visitors were leaving the north having seen it only through a windscreen — guided by operators from elsewhere who treated these valleys as a product rather than a place people live.
Today a small team of local guides plans and leads every trip. We do not simply point at the view. We introduce you to the households, the cooking, the working seasons and the customs that make this region what it is — and we explain what is appropriate and what is not.
Each journey channels money back into village economies, employs regional talent at fair rates, and leaves the landscape as we found it. That is the whole business model.

Our journey
From a childhood spent on these trails to a registered operator working across twelve regions — the milestones that shaped how we travel today.
Our founder grows up in Tehjian Valley among apple orchards, glacier streams and the elders who keep its stories.
Informal hosting turns into guiding — first for friends of friends, then for travellers arriving from twelve countries.
The practice becomes a registered company, built around fair local pay, small groups and honest itineraries.
A tight crew of mountain, cultural and logistics specialists running trips across twelve regions of the north.
How we work
The same three rules apply whether the trip is a family valley stay or a long expedition — they are how we decide what to include, and what to refuse.
Leave-no-trace routing, locally sourced supplies and a fixed share of every booking spent inside the communities we visit.
No staged performances or manufactured "authenticity" — you meet the families, cooks and drivers we have worked with for years.
Vetted vehicles, altitude-aware pacing, satellite comms on remote routes and a documented plan for every day of the trip.
Deep dive
Four short chapters on the history, people and living culture of the valley we come from.
Trade routes, invasions and the ancient paths that shaped life across the valley.
Who lives here, how they farm and herd, and why hospitality is a matter of honour.
Language, music, festivals and the craft traditions still practised in the villages.
From a valley childhood to guiding travellers — the story behind the company.
